Therapy In Kansas City, MO

Tim Collins

With Tim Collins, Licensed Professional Counselor

I work with a wide range of people all looking for real movement, not years of talking without change.

Do you feel successful on the outside but unsure where life is going?
Are you repeating patterns without knowing why or how to change?
Has someone in your life suggested you talk to a therapist?

People come to therapy when they’re struggling with relationships, social connections, or direction at work. Others repeat behaviors despite wanting to “do it differently this time.” Therapy with me focuses on getting unstuck and moving forward.

Clients Come To Me When They

  • Feel lost

  • Can’t break a pattern

  • Are struggling with relationships

  • Disconnect socially

  • Can’t find direction

  • Have anxiety or stress

  • Look successful but feel unsatisfied

These experiences tend to show up together, and therapy helps.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

My approach is direct, practical, and focused on change outside the office. Many clients come to me after trying long-term therapy that felt insightful but slow.

We still look at patterns and meaning, but stay grounded in solutions that move your life forward.

Sessions are collaborative and honest. We identify what’s keeping you stuck, name what needs to change, and build clear steps to get there.

Approaches I Use

“You’ll leave sessions with concrete ways to practice change in your life.”

“The best time to start therapy is as soon as you’re thinking about it”

Therapy With Me Has Results

  • Healthier habits

  • Higher work performance

These changes build on each other and create momentum over time.

About Tim Collins, LPC

My therapy is designed for people who are ready for clarity, direction, and forward movement, not just insight.

I bring a direct and honest style that helps clients see what’s getting in their way and how to change it.

Before becoming a therapist, I studied Finance and Economics and worked as a Healthcare Software Consultant. After years of working in Residential Treatment Centers and seeing mental health struggles up close in my family and community, I shifted my career to do work that felt meaningful and practical. That background shapes how I think about problem-solving, structure, and progress.

Outside of therapy, I’m married with one child and a Golden Doodle named Nala. I played college baseball at Southwest Baptist University, enjoy reading fantasy and history, and try to play pickleball or make it to the gym when toddler life allows.

Availability: I work with clients in person in Kansas City and via Telehealth across Missouri.
